We are a fast-growing studio looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. You will be comfortable taking ownership of the successful planning & delivery of projects, thrive working in a fast-paced team and have experience working in an agency environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Senior Project Manager at WONGDOODY, you will be responsible for the management of a complex, business critical project for one of our key strategic accounts. This project exists as part of a broader programme of work, and you'll be working alongside other members of the Delivery team.

You'll be a key point of contact between WONGDOODY and our client, building and nurturing relationships with a globally distributed set of different stakeholders. Your role will be to support them as they navigate the complexities of business go-live in digital channels. You'll do this with skill, diplomacy and enthusiasm, bringing clarity to our internal Delivery team, and also to our client leadership team.

This role will suit someone who enjoys enabling others and coordinating teams. The successful candidate will have with strong experience in delivering projects with a multi-matrix approach to both technical and business go live.

Project Planning & Delivery
  • Lead the scoping, planning and reporting of a complex project
  • Work with the relevant discipline leads and client stakeholders to bring everyone on the journey together with clarity and drive
  • Ensure that the delivery of work is achieved with a highly collaborative approach
  • Monitor risks and dependencies across the project, both at the client side and internally towards the agency
  • Provide regular status reports for stakeholders, including detailed dashboard style reports for the client in relation to this specific project
  • Deliver high scoring client satisfaction

Budget & Financial Management
  • Track and report financial status of your projects.
  • Monitor and proactively mitigate potential overruns, highlighting to the Group Delivery Director and Engagement Director when an overrun is likely to occur.
  • Escalate and resolve financial issues as they happen.

Resource Planning
  • Work with Head of Staffing & Discipline Leads to plan resource requirements for your project and ensure these are accurately reflected in Forecast (resource management system).
  • Work with client stakeholders to support them, validating they are adequately resourced and setup to achieve the aims and objectives of the project

Business Development
    • From time to time, you may be required to work with the New Business team and Engagement Directors on new business proposals and pitches & to provide delivery content including scope, assumptions, timings plans and estimates.
WHAT YOU'RE LIKE
  • You have a can-do mindset with the ability to prioritise and to work independently.
  • Experienced in all stages of the delivery lifecycle from requirements gathering and discovery phases through to running teams and workstreams of people who will implement the solution.
  • A team player with a good sense of humour and commitment to high standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to tell a powerful story through project data
  • Expert at managing client expectations, acting as a proxy for our agency within our client's business
  • Confident engaging with client stakeholders at all levels from Product Management through to Heads Of Dept and CIO
WHAT YOU'VE GOT
  • Strong experience of leading complex digital delivery projects and programmes
  • Experience in delivering projects that use Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
  • Evidence of managing multi-disciplined project teams onshore and offshore, across different geographies and time zones.
  • Ability to turn requirements into project scope with assumptions, effort estimates, delivery approach, governance structure, plans and budget.
  • Strong knowledge and best practice approach for project management and product development/delivery.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Ability to build strong relationships and achieve results.
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills across all mediums - presentation, written, verbal.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities.
  • Ability to handle challenging client situations.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
