Infosys is seeking a DB2 Z OS Administrator who will Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of database systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Tampa, FL or Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as DB2 zOS Administrator.
- Experience in administering DB2 databases on zOS and Linux; Production support, maintenance of existing DB2 system infra-structure & databases
- Experience in Migration, configuration of DB2 subsystems. Executing DR exercises Setting up daily copy & backup utilities and monitoring those jobs.
- Create DB2 instances, configure and update licenses, Performing System DBA activities
- Installing and configuring the DB2 products in MVS using SMPE installation procedure.

- On-Call Support: Participated in on-call rotation for database support and provided timely resolution of database-related issues.
- Running All Online and Standalone IBM Utilities i.e.
- Unloading, Loading, Reorg etc. and collecting statistics for the processes
- Reviewing and updating System Parameters for optimal performance and binding plans for DB2 products. Maintaining RD &FSA DB2 subsystems Analyze data, develop and execute appropriate DDLs to support projects
- Install, Configure and Admin CA-IDMS, ASG-Tracer, ASG-Fast Access, SumTotal-Preference, IBI-FOCUS, Natural and ADABAS for FAA.
- Involve in providing support to projects; Unload, Load the database, Reorganize and collect statistics for the processes
- Involve in performance tuning of DB2 sub system running on AIX
- Database admin including backup, recovery and installation of DB2 database and configuring instances
- DBA activities to recreate/set-up the test environment/situation
- Perform DBA functions like archiving, providing user and Object privileges
- Execute recovery operation and backup procedures.
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
