Infosys is seeking a DB2 Database Administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other infrastructure admins, engineering teams and subject matter experts and will be responsible for implementing, administering, monitoring and troubleshooting cloud and datacenter infrastructure systems for the mentioned database technologies.

Required Qualification:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA or Raleigh, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Must have experience on Standalone, DPF(DB2 warehouse) and HADR servers & responsible for maintaining the health of databases and servers.
• Must have good hands on experience on Q-Replication and IBM infosphere Change Data Capture(CDC) replication.
• Must have good hands-on experience on database performance monitoring and performance tuning.
• Must have good scripting and automation experience.
• Knowledge on Database security (Native Encryption and RCAC).
• Experience in creating database workload policies based on historical and current database workloads.
• Strong understanding in database interfacing technologies such as ODBC, JDBC and DBMS native clients and assisting application users in trouble shooting the connectivity issues.
• Act as project liaison and coordinate with system administrators for OS patching and maintenance required for database servers and ensuring smooth transitions and resolving relating issues for applications
• Resolving the real time issues with Production and Non-prod databases, troubleshooting application user's issues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assistance including on-call support.
• Communicate and coordinate with application support and other IT support teams to provide timely responses for critical requests.
• Proficient with ITIL methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with production support
• Good Communication and Analytical skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
• Ability to work on agile projects within database team.
• Good to have experience on Docker/Podman/OpenShift container platform.
• Good to have experience on writing SQL-PL/Procedures/Routines.
• Good to have knowledge on GPFS/IBM spectrum scale.

The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
