Infosys is seeking for a Data Platform Cassandra / Mongo DB Lead developer. This role needs a key player in the platform admin team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
• Experience in Cassandra

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of database systems.
  

• On-Call Support: Participated in on-call rotation for database support and provided timely resolution of database-related issues.
  

• Data Migration: Perform data migration and transformation tasks using tools
  

• Manage Cassandra db, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  
• Implement and manage database replication using Cassandra's built-in replication features.
• Perform data migration and transformation tasks using sstableloader and cqlsh.
  
• Cluster Management: Manage and maintain large-scale Cassandra DB clusters, including node commissioning and decommissioning, and cluster capacity planning.
  
• Performance Tuning: Perform database tuning and optimization, including query optimization, indexing, and garbage collection tuning.
  

• Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures using Cassandra Snapshot and DataStax Backup Service.
  

• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor database performance using tools like Nagios and Prometheus, and troubleshooted issues related to database performance, replication, and connectivity.
  

• Security Management: Manage database security, including user access control, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations.
  

• Replication and High Availability: Implement and manage database replication and high availability solutions using Cassandra's built-in replication features
  

• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans using Cassandra Snapshot.
