Infosys is seeking a Business Analyst
This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply domain proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Role Overview: Business analyst should act as a bridge between the client and technical teams, providing valuable insights and solutions to potential clients. This role typically requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of financial products, trade lifecycle, and regulatory requirements. Having middle office experience adds a layer of expertise in ensuring that the processes supporting trading and investment activities are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business goals. The chosen candidate will be involved in backlog maintenance, user story refinement, scrum team management, recommendation, configuration, evaluation and deployment of high-quality solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Location: Boston/Quincy MA (mandatory)
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred with minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Candidate must have Capital Markets experience.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to translate business data analysis into actionable tasks.
  • Should be able to conduct workshops, clarify requirements, finalize requirements and coordinate between various teams in the project.
  • Experience independently managing requirements and design-related activities for complex, multi-business, multi-system initiatives.
  • Experience in Agile development framework, product lifecycle development and JIRA.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and software development

Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of technology services through support and maintenance of the technology estate and delivery of new services as well as management of existing services as per defined product roadmap.
  • At least 4+ years of hands on experience as a BA in a Middle Office.
  • Engage with stakeholders from the middle office, such as risk management, compliance, and trade support teams, to gather detailed requirements.
  • Create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and Use Cases that capture the middle office's needs.
  • Identify gaps between current processes/systems and desired future state, proposing improvements and optimizations.
  • Map out and optimize middle office processes, ensuring they align with the overall business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and propose solutions, leveraging your knowledge of middle office operations.
  • Support or lead automation projects aimed at improving middle office efficiency, such as trade matching, confirmation, and settlement processes.
  • Ensure that middle office processes adhere to regulatory standards and assist in implementing necessary changes.
  • Define system requirements for middle office applications, ensuring they meet the needs of trade processing, risk management, and reporting.
  • Develop and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to validate that system enhancements or new implementations meet business needs.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with middle office users and provide training on new systems or process changes.
  • Assist in project planning, including setting timelines, defining deliverables, and managing resources.
  • Act as a liaison between middle office teams, IT, front office, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Regularly report on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze trade data, risk data, and other relevant datasets to support decision-making within the middle office.
  • Develop and maintain reports that provide insights into middle office operations, such as trade reconciliations, risk exposures, and compliance metrics.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in middle office processes, supporting data governance initiatives.
  • Work closely with front office, back office, and IT teams to ensure smooth end-to-end trade processing.
  • Interact with external clients and vendors, especially in relation to trade confirmation, settlement, and reporting.
  • Act as a point of contact for resolving middle office-related issues, coordinating with various teams to find solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: A minimum 4 to 8 years of experience for Mid level. For senior role experience should be 8+ years.
  • Delivery Focus: Ability to deliver results in a techno-functional role.
  • SQL: Proficiency in SQL queries.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Capital Markets Knowledge: Deep understanding of Capital Markets .
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify risks and issues and propose improvements.
  • Experience as a BA in Middle Office related processes.
Preferred Skillset:
  • Exceptional Intelligence: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior State Street Experience would be a plus.
