Infosys is seeking an Azure Kafka Technical Lead with L2 support and development experience. As an Azure Kafka Technical Lead, you will be required to provide advanced technical support, addressing complex issues escalated from L1 support or directly from end-users. You will also be expected to perform in-depth troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and implementing solutions. You will be required to respond to service requests with a focus on timely resolution and need to collaborate closely with L1 Support and other specialized teams. The role requires a deeper understanding of the different technologies and their corresponding configurations. Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of relevant Information Technology experience
  • The location for this position is Atlanta, GA. This position may require travel to other project/client location.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of L2 operational support and development experience
  • Understanding of Azure infrastructure, services, and tools to manage resources within Azure environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and platforms such as Grafana, Splunk, Azure Monitoring, Azure Analytics, etc. This includes setting up custom alerts and dashboards to track system health and performance.
  • Experience in handling incidents and outages, including root cause analysis, communication, and resolution following the SRE model
  • Understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls, to troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Knowledge of security best practices for messaging services, including encryption, authentication, and authorization
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python, to automate repetitive tasks, develop custom monitoring scripts, and streamline incident response.
  • Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Apache Airflow or Ansible for managing infrastructure as code
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts, tools, and best practices to deploy and manage messaging services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in messaging services
  • Understanding and application of Google's SRE principles, such as error budgets, service level objectives (SLOs), and service level indicators (SLIs), to ensure the reliability and performance of messaging services
  • Specific Application Support Knowledge for Messaging Service Expertise: Kafka, JMS, and MQ
    • Proficiency in Azure Event Hub,
    • Azure Service Bus,
    • Confluent Kafka Enterprise Platform
    • Confluent Cloud

The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
