We are currently seeking an AWS Architect/Engineer to join our San Jose, CA Location.

Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
We are looking for an AWS Architect/Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and administrating the on-premises migration and cloud infrastructure. Should be good at Govcloud Management.

Required years of experience, training, technical skills, and other requirements for job performance:

  • 7+ Years of working knowledge of AWS administration in the AWS environment
  • Familiarity with AWS EC2 instances, bastion host, network, communication, security, and environment creation using AMI
  • Proven knowledge of AWS infrastructure and AWS native service AWS Kubernetes
  • Proven knowledge of AWS Govcloud Management
  • Working knowledge in creating Shell scripts and Terraform scripts/playbook
  • Maintain, manage, coordinate, and implement security, software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware for both Windows and Linux systems
  • Knowledge of setting up No SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
  • KubeD Clusters build and manage them in GovCloud
  • Strong Python Development, Security hardening, and EC2 instances management.
  • Kafka-API Gateway, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Docker experience to automate and build microservices.
  • systems consist of Applications and databases. Cassandra, Oracle, Redis, Kafka and MySQL.
  • Patch and new release Automation deployment on All platforms
  • System performance tuning (application and databases) with KPIs
  • The regular tasks that are undertaken by the team for Prod support are daily. Process Automation via Ansible Playbook.
  • Security Patching and making systems following fed ramp governance. Security hardening is part of the process
  • Maintaining standby applications and databases for DR rollover. GovCloud to GovCloud or DC.
  • Response and escalation times adherence to SLA and escalation times.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call via Pagerduty or proactive email alerts.
Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Additional AWS and Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE, and LPIC) will be considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts
  • Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP
  • Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.
  • Working knowledge in hosting AWS environments in different availability zones and regions
  • Working knowledge of monitoring AWS infrastructure using AWS cloud-native service i.e. AWS shield, Cloud watch, cloud trail, Guard duty
  • Working knowledge on Cloud formation, AWS storage, Infrastructure as a code using Terraform
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education, Candidates that have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.
The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face.
