Infosys is seeking an Adabas Database Administrator who will collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of database systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Tampa, FL or Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as Adabas database Administrator.
• Adabas Utilities: Use of utilities like AdaRep for database maintenance and reporting.
• Design and implement Adabas databases to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

• Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, and indexes.
• Should have used efficient data compression techniques used by Adabas.

• On-Call Support: Participated in on-call rotation for database support and provided timely resolution of database-related issues.

• Implement and manage database replication using Adabas Replication and EntireX.

• Monitor database performance using tools like Adabas Manager.

• Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures using Adabas Backup and Recovery tools.

• Optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and buffer pool management.

• Use tools like Adabas Performance Monitor to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
