iMentor

Part-Time, Seasonal Summer Melt & FAFSA Fellow (July/August)

Remote
Due to significant, unexpected delays in the federal financial aid process this spring, FAFSA applications have decreased by 29%, creating an urgent need to support students in overcoming barriers to college enrollment. iMentor has received emergency funding to provide additional support around FAFSA completion and address the phenomenon known as "summer melt," where high school graduates who intend to go to college fail to enroll in the fall. The iMentor Summer Melt & FAFSA Fellow will play a crucial role in supporting the FAFSA completion and enrollment outcomes of the Class of 2024. The Fellow will be responsible for consistent outreach, administration, and tracking of graduating seniors’ college selection and enrollment throughout the summer (July and August) to ensure student follow-through of matriculation steps. Additionally, the Summer Melt & FAFSA Fellow will engage with parents and students, providing 1:1 support to complete FAFSA, support FAFSA verification, and assist with college selection and enrollment.
