About the Role
The Payroll Specialist will play a vital role in managing and supporting Global payroll processes and compliance. This role will be responsible for the successful partnership with HR, Finance, and other key stakeholders to deliver high level data accuracy and compliance related to payroll producers and polices. This is a part time position that requires 20 hours of work per week. The work schedule is flexible and can be arranged based on mutual agreement.
Job Description/Requirements
What You'll Do
- Manage and audit full cycle semi-monthly payroll processing for North America Hourly and Salaried employees; additionally, process monthly payroll for international locations (UK, Austria, Ireland and Japan).
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, provincial, local and international tax laws and regulations.
- Investigates and resolves payroll issues including determining and correcting out-of-balance conditions.
- Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and analysis.
- Responsible for all year end payroll taxation reporting and filing globally.
- Ensures proper internal controls, system standards & documentation, policies and audit requirements are developed, met, and maintained.
- Manages/partners with Controllership function on the expatriate tax process, ensuring required inputs from external service provider (Deloitte) are received on a regular cadence and supports related GL reconciliations.
- Participates in payroll accounting process remediation where applicable.

- Bachelor's degree and a Certification/Licensure as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent considered a strong asset.
- 5+ years of proven experience working in a progression payroll position within a global organization establishing, managing and processing all functions of payroll, including experience in a multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency environment.
- Experience with ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, ADA and other regulatory standards.
- Strong accounting foundation including experience in owning and reconciling payroll related general ledger accounts and preparing payroll journal entries.
- Ability to reconcile salary expense.
- Knowledge with employment law, FMLA, overtime, disability.
- Experience in the reconciliation of monthly benefits - employee deductions, employer contribution, and monthly invoice to the general ledger.
- Must be able to perform all the duties of the Payroll Administrator, including processing payrolls timely and accurately.
- Strong communicator written and oral who is willing to collaborate across functions.
- Previous experience with ADP a plus.
