Job Description/Requirements
Salary: Expected base pay rate for this role will be $25.25 USD per hour at the commencement of employment.
However, if hired, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis (pay rates may vary) and is only one part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other IMAX sponsored benefit programs.
About the Role
IMAX is looking for an Overnight Feature Operations Coordinator (Monday - Friday, 12am to 9am) to join our growing team. You'll directly support the distribution of IMAX Features in a logistics-oriented role, supporting the daytime Feature Operations team as well as help address any emergency situations as they occur overnight in the morning. You'll be a key point of contact for theatre personnel, studio, and IMAX distribution/marketing contacts, especially those in Asia-Pacific and Europe/Middle East/ Africa regions.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate with the daytime Operations staff to understand what issues are being handed off for the evening shift
- Manage key (KDM) bookings from both studio contacts and internal IMAX distribution and ensuring keys are requested through the correct channels
- Assist with collecting data and contact information on new theatre installs and alerting necessary parties
- Coordinate with DMR (mastering) and Post teams to ensure that we are abiding by the time schedule laid out by the studio representatives / sub-distributors.
- Compare studio requests to those of IMAX distribution and marketing teams to ensure expectations are being met on both sides
- Generate content orders for Feature Post Team
- Work on special projects such as demo requests for newly installed theatres, special event pieces, etc.
- Update and maintain critical Operations related documents and charts
- Assist with tracking shipments and passing along waybill information to theatre contacts
- 2+ years' experience in theatrical distribution, logistics or a related field required.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to work overnight (Monday - Friday, 12-9am)
- Entertainment Industry Distribution and/or Post Production experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with an approachable and personable outlook
- Able to think on your feet and act quickly when needed, especially as we're often up against tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relay pertinent details to the right parties (whether internal or external) so they have full visibility on any issues or circumstances that arise
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple and shifting tasks, priorities and deadlines in a volatile production-based environment
