Job Description/Requirements

Salary: Expected base pay rate for this role will be between $160,000 and $175,000+ USD per year at the commencement of employment.

However, if hired, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis (pay rates may vary) and is only one part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other IMAX sponsored benefit programs.

About the Role

We're looking for an exceptional Sales Director to take a key position as part of our growing sales team, focusing principally on driving new business in North America. This person should have a strong track record of exceeding revenue goals in a consultative sales role selling video technology solutions to large video publishers such as studios, broadcasters, OTT services, MVPDs and VMVPDs. Our high performers understand digital media video workflows (i.e., encoding, transcoding, delivery and playback) and are adept at selling into senior decision makers of Media, Entertainment and Sports technology, product and/or media operations teams. They are organized, consultative and self-motivated, and can mobilize internal teams to produce results. A proven track record of selling high-value solutions into senior levels of these organizations is a must.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and manage the overall sales process and required internal and external coordination.
  • Actively develop sales opportunities, manage customer interactions, communications, trials, and Salesforce reports
  • Understand the discipline of sales processes including deal qualification, staging and accurate forecasting.
  • Develop new customer interactions, either directly or through reseller partners
  • Work closely with our Solutions Architects during pre-sales to scope and deliver customer requirements.
  • Communicate and maintain relationships with our existing customer base and new logo targets.
  • Maintain appropriate metrics for sales' funnel management in Salesforce.
  • Develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base.
  • Become a trusted advisor to stakeholders; build, manage and grow relationships across multiple departments at video streaming companies for continued value-creation and increased revenue.
  • Manage a complex sales process from initial conversation through negotiation and closure. Maximize results for the company and for your client.
  • Effectively manage the business as it relates to ongoing sales activity including pipeline forecasting, organizational mapping, contracts, proposals, and legal
  • Expected to travel (50% or less)
What You'll Need:
  • 8+ years of direct B2B sales experience in a comparable industry, Media & Entertainment Industry strongly preferred. An understanding of SSIMWAVE's market: products, players, and technologies.
  • Experience taking deals through the sales cycle from engaging customers to closure.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
  • Experience in selling products or services in a start-up and scale-up environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience with marketing and sales software applications; preferably with Salesforce
  • Proven track record of success driving new logos, upsells and building deep relationships at the C-Suite, SVP and VP levels across an enterprise organization.
Nice To Have:
  • Direct experience selling into distributors (MVPDs and VMVPDs) is a plus.
  • Additional languages are a strong asset.
