Job Summary

Operations plays a crucial role in executing the contractual commitments upon sale to monthly invoicing; having a crucial role in data integrity reducing. The Operations Lead guides 1-2 teams within the Operations organization. Ensuring daily execution aligns with departmental objectives and SLAs as we support our Sales teams and business partners.

This position has two primary facets, leadership and commodity expertise (Power or Natural Gas). They plan, staff, and organize their team to ensure alignment with department objectives. The Operation's Lead works closely with IT and our Technical Lead to validate and strategize delivery for system and process enhancements. They are accountable for each team member's development plan to ensure team and department success as the business is constantly evolving.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of analysts, orchestrating and organizing day-to-day changes in workload to hit SLAs and provide sales partners a first-class experience.
  • Fosters an environment of trust and build team moral through connection amongst team members.
  • Influences team member's development through personalized growth plans encompassing the individual career progression model already established within Operations.
  • Acts as an entrepreneur of their space; identifying gaps in data process flows and reacting accordingly with emphasis on process improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Guides conversations balancing empathy, honesty and transparency to create accountability and drive direction.
  • Ability to manage large scale projects or guide a team member in their execution of such projects.
  • Comfortable with analyzing large data sets. Has the ability to organize and deliver a plan across 5-15 team members.
  • Collaborate with cross department leaders on daily executables and project delivery.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of leadership experience; demonstrating strong emotional intelligence, the ability to connect with team members and foster an engaging environment.
  • 5+ years in an analytical role encompassing process management, technical or financial equivalency.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort in managing multiple analysts; skillsets ranging from entry level to subject matter experts.
  • Able to quickly absorb knowledge and guide a team of experts. Uses extensive business acumen to ask strategic questions and connect dots quickly.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.

Desired skills/experience:

  • Natural Gas experience (preferred) or equivalent industry experience (ie: Power/Electric generation/utility knowledge)
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
    • Outlook: managing rules and shared inboxes
    • Excel: filtering and organizing data, shared files, v-lookups, identifying duplicates, and pivot tables
    • PowerPoint: ability to put together a presentation with IGS formatting
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience
  • Experience with SQL or BI Dashboards

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Industry experience (preferred), applicable experience (secondary)

Salary Range:
$70,100.00 - $112,160.00
*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
