About the Role

iCapital is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President of Operations to join our Platform Operations team and provide technical and operational support across several key clients in our alternative investment business. This role will oversee multiple clients and drive efforts to launch new funds, improve operations, and develop new processes and procedures.

This individual will be the first line of defense for client and platform activity and will work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction. Join this growing and highly visible team, becoming a pivotal part of supporting technical and operation requirements across iCapital’s alternative investment platform.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of all interfaces on the iCapital platform, ensuring the seamless launch of fund launches, recurring client activities, and ongoing health of our alternative clients with key relationships with wirehouses, RIAs, and IBDs.
  • Execute end-to-end technical and operations deliverables on recurring platform, manage daily workflows to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery, and maintain a client-first approach in all operational activities.
  • Work closely with senior team members and cross-departmentally with client operations, product, and client management to plan for client deliverables, platform updates, and fund launches.
  • Provide critical support for ongoing platform activities, coordinating with team members to resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for platform operations for a book of our US-based Alternatives clients.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and internal parties to ensure timely, effective processing of requests.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and knowledge-sharing practices to support process transparency and team efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in platform operations, middle office operations, or a similar role within the FinTech, Financial Services, or Alternative Investment industries
  • Proven experience in an operational role, with the ability to balance team management and hands-on responsibilities
  • Experience in platform management, implementation management, or process management a plus
  • Experience managing external relationships, handling escalations, and fostering client relationships
  • Experience with documenting technical processes and integrations, ensuring clarity and usability for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to express complex ideas and concepts
  • Commitment to quality, a client-first mindset, and the ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, committed to managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Alternatives middle-office experience a strong plus

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
