About the Role

iCapital is looking to hire a Corporate Reputation leader to join the Employee Corporate Communications team. This individual will serve as a strategic communications leader responsible for driving global corporate reputation campaigns and partnerships, external communications strategies, and evolve the narratives to enhance and protect iCapital’s reputation. This role requires the highest caliber executive leadership, coaching, and collaboration skills, to work across our complex ecosystem in support of our corporate reputation.

This person will be responsible for driving iCapital’s most strategic narratives aligned with the company’s business goals and ongoing transformation. This leader will manage a hybrid team of professionals supporting external communications, strategic partnerships, sustainability, and will serve as a communications partner for crisis mitigation. This role reports to the Head of Communications and, in partnership with the rest of the Global Communications leadership team, ensures we are delivering holistic communications programs that engage and activate corporate, employee, and technology audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Partner to develop and execute comprehensive corporate reputation strategies that align with iCapital’s business objectives and values; manage all aspects of the campaigns, partnerships, and key initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders within iCapital and other business functions, providing strategic counsel on external communication matters.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and public sentiment to proactively identify communication opportunities and risks.
  • Partner with Human Resources to support iCapital’s corporate responsibility initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's values and fostering positive social impact.
  • Direct a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Break down silos, ensuring we demonstrate fully integrated comms in everything we do and help bring others along, in our own Communications group and cross-functionally with various departments, with strong communications and influence.
  • Manage the PR Agency(s) teams supporting our media relations, key partnerships, and external communications shaping the perceptions of iCapital. 
  • Create the appropriate KPIs and metric dashboards to measure corporate reputation awareness, favorability and influence within our overall go to market strategies and corporate brand visibility.  

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of prior corporate reputation management and external communications/corporate communications, experience managing hybrid teams preferably for a financial services or enterprise technology firm
  • Former technology industry beat reporter is a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of work experience is required  
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence in the development and execution of external communications and media relations for large asset management, private equity, or enterprise technology firms 
  • Deep and broad business acumen, solid understanding of iCapital’s business and its technology platform, clients, and the public and private markets 
  • Passion for communication is a must, with excellent written and verbal skills and strong attention to detail 
  • Exceptional organizational, strategic thinking, problem solving, project management, and process development skills, with the ability to balance short- and long-term priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with sound judgment and strong interpersonal and relationship management skills 
  • Experience in financial services, technology, fintech, or other fast-moving industries is required 

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $180,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).

We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office four days, with the flexibility to work remotely one day. Every department has different needs, and some positions will be designated in-office jobs, based on their function.
