Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mainframe System Programmer Expert with a minimum of 16 years of hands-on experience in designing, installing and supporting mainframe product installations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of product ordering, vendor management, installing products on Mainframe using z/OSMF, SMP/E and non-SMP/E with in-depth expertise in z/OS internals and customization. A strong foundation in z/OS internals and product integration is essential for this role.

• Lead and execute complex product installation / migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Perform in-depth performance analysis and tuning to optimize any product related issues.
• Evaluate and recommend new product solutions based on customer requirement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging software / products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
• Defect prevention and technical remediation of client environment.

• Minimum of 16 years of hands-on experience in z/OS system programming with focus on mainframe product installation and customization.
• Proven expertise in production installation projects, like migrating one product to another.
• In-depth knowledge of z/OS internals, PARMLIB & PROCLIB customization.
• Strong understanding of mainframe operating systems (z/OS) and exits.
• Experience with different category of products both from IBM and other vendors.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex product installation.
• SYSRES cloning and rollout the maintenance to different Lpars.
• Stand Alone dump capture and FTP to IBM L2 for dump analysis.
• Work along with storage and other cross platform team for Disaster recovery.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven experience in one of the technical streams within mainframe, like DB2 DBA, DB2 Systems, CICS, Storage, System Automation or Host Network.
• Experience in z/OSMF and its component, especially, software update & software management.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (e.g., REXX, JCL).
• Understanding of ITIL frameworks and methodologies.
