Are you passionate about building scalable backend systems and enabling cutting-edge AI solutions? Join the IBM Watsonx Code Assistant for Z Service Platform Team, where you'll work at the intersection of generative AI and mainframe modernization. This team is responsible for the core platform infrastructure that powers the Watsonx Code Assistant for Z, handling critical components like CI/CD pipelines, common microservices, and frameworks for shift-left testing.

As a Service Platform Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain platform microservices that ensure the reliability and scalability of our platform.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment.
• Build and maintain reusable components and services used across the platform.
• Contribute to the development of a robust shift-left testing framework to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• Strong experience with Java development, including backend frameworks.
• Strong experience in containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience with Python for scripting or service development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Terraform etc.
• Understanding of testing frameworks and methodologies, especially shift-left testing.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
