Your role and responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager, you'll manage software development, enhance product experiences, and scale our team's capabilities. You'll manage careers, streamline hiring, collaborate with product, and drive innovation. We seek proactive professionals passionate about team growth, software architecture, coding, and process enhancements. Mastery of frameworks, deployment tech, and cloud APIs is essential as well as adaptability to innovative technologies. Your primary responsibilities include: Solution Development: Lead the development of innovative solutions to enhance our product and development experience, effectively contributing to making our software better. Team Growth and Management: Manage the career growth of team members, scale hiring and development processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Strategic Partnership: Partner with product teams to brainstorm ideas and collaborate on delivering an exceptional product, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Technical Direction: Provide technical guidance by actively participating in architectural discussions, developing code, and advocating for new process improvements to drive innovation and efficiency.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Has 15 + years of professional/industrial experience in software development.
- Deep understanding of AI technology, including its underlying principles, advanced methodologies, and real-world applications
- Worked as a techno manager leading team of engineers worked in AI or Cloud or Systems domain
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, training staff, setting expectations and balancing priorities to achieve desired deliverables
- As a techie has worked as a developer in leading edge technologies.
- Has driven key initiatives to improve innovation and productivity in the organisation.
- Expertise in solving customer issues.
- Good understanding of Open Source domain
- Passion towards driving and delivering automation solutions
- Analytical skills required to quickly understand complex domains and be able to break down and plan feature work
- Agile software development practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and drive collaboration within teams and across IBM to achieve desired outcomes
- Appetite to build a top performing team
- Strong business acumen skills
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Cloud Computing: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud computing platforms.
- Full-Stack Development Mastery: Expertise in both front-end and back-end development.
- Data Pipeline Proficiency: Familiarity with data pipelining solutions.
- Experience leading Agile scrum, working with GitHub and other tracking tools.
- Experience in working on a SaaS application with SOC2 certifiation
- Leading organizational transformation, both technically and organizationally
