Your Role and Responsibilities
Teradata Development:

• Design, develop, and implement Teradata-based solutions to support business intelligence and data warehousing needs.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

• Analyze and optimize the performance of existing Teradata systems, focusing on query performance, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
• Implement workload management and resource allocation strategies to enhance system efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
• Perform regular database health checks and fine-tuning to maintain peak performance.

• Design and refine the Teradata architecture to support evolving business needs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability.
• Lead optimization initiatives, including capacity planning, data model redesign, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data architecture, security, and governance.

• Monitor system performance using Teradata Viewpoint and other tools, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving complex database and performance-related problems.

• Work closely with IT, data engineering, and business intelligence teams to align data strategies with business objectives.
• Document all processes, configurations, and architectural decisions to ensure knowledge sharing and support continuity.

• In-depth knowledge of Teradata architecture, including parallel processing, indexing, and data distribution.
• Expertise in Teradata tools and utilities, such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, and Viewpoint.
• Strong SQL programming skills and experience with query optimization techniques.
• Ability to design and implement scalable, high-performance data solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Certifications: Teradata Certified Professional (TCPP) or similar certification is highly desirable.
