Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) Technical Support Engineer Job Description: The Cloud Pak for Data team is currently looking for a Technical Support Professional to help diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex product and configuration issues to ensure our customer's success in using our product. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and perform remote debugging via webEx is essential to success in this role. The ideal candidate is a fast learner and self-starter, with a good balance of technical and problem solving skills, combined with a strong desire to help our customers achieve their goals and exceed their project deadlines.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Experience working with Linux/Unix systems
• Experience with docker and running dockerized applications
• Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift technology
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong communication and customer relationship management skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic fast pasted environment and continuously learn
• Participate in weekend pager duty rotation
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Knowledge of microservice's architecture and container orchestration
• Advanced Linux Skills
• Storage Skills (NFS,ODF,OCS)
• Cloud Computing Experience with AWS, Azure or IBM Cloud
• Database Skills (EDB, DB2, Oracle, MySQL)
