Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior OpenShift Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environment. This role requires a deep understanding of containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies. The Senior OpenShift Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our containerized applications.

  • 1.Design, deploy, and manage OpenShift Container Platform clusters across multiple environments.
  • 2.Collaborate with development teams to onboard and support containerized applications.
  • 3.Develop and implement best practices for container orchestration, monitoring, and automation.
  • 4.Configure and maintain OpenShift infrastructure components such as nodes, networking, storage, and security.
  • 5.Monitor cluster health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations.
  • 6.Implement security policies and access controls to safeguard OpenShift environments.
  • 7.Plan and execute platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks.
  • 8.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.
  • 9.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in containerization and cloud-native computing.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a system administrator, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
  • Strong understanding of containerization concepts and technologies (Docker, OCI).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • OpenShift certification (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Knowledge of container security best practices and tools (PodSecurityPolicy, Container Security Scanning).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and practices.
