Join IBM's U.S. Transfer Pricing and Valuation Practice. This is a challenging and fast paced position. We are looking for a professional that understands valuation principles, CAPM/WACC methodologies, financial reports and has the knowledge to prepare financial and economic analyses of inter-company transactions involving cross border flows of goods, services, intangible property, familiarity with valuation principles and ability to construct transfer pricing and valuation-based models.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Valuation and Financial Modeling: lead transfer pricing projects to successful completion, developing valuation analysis models including understanding of Build-up method, CAPM, knowledge of DCF modeling and other valuation techniques; Create financial models to determine inter-company prices, royalty rates, and other cross-border charges; Perform economic and financial analyses to support business decisions.
- Audit and Compliance: assist in preparing audit analyses, supporting audit-ready files, and drafting memorandums/reports as needed. Work with and understand complex accounting data residing in multiple systems such as planning, accounting, and internal measurement systems (e.g., analyze and understand Hyperion, OneSource and/or similar accounting ledger data).
- Leadership and Collaboration: take a leadership role in inter-company matters, collaborating with accounting, financial planning, external reporting foreign controllers, business managers, and tax departments.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 5 years relevant tax experience, with extensive Philippine direct and indirect tax compliance and advisory experience including managing tax compliance for multiple legal entities, in-depth knowledge of Philippines corporate income taxes, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and a working knowledge of employment taxes.
- Candidate should have strong skills and background in tax accounting, compliance & tax operations with relevant Big 4 experience. Experience in tax advocacy or in-house tax experience within a large multinational enterprise is an advantage.
- A hands-on approach, self-starter with attention to detail and learning agility is required.
- Having a commercial outlook, strong business acumen and an awareness of risk is required.
- Strong teaming and communication skills with a collaborative mindset is required to continuously seek opportunities for process optimization and solution implementation.
- Candidate should hold formal qualifications in Accounting / Tax or Law
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
