Introduction
System Services Representatives are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and software support and delivery of operational services. Sound pretty important? Absolutely! You will advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may drastically impact product performance or impair the client's IT operation.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The System Services Representative (SSR) is responsible for providing technical service and repair of laptops, PCs, banking equipment (ATM/CRU), printers, and other peripheral equipment. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of electronics, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to properly use a variety of provided tools. Strong interpersonal skills, accurate record keeping, and the ability to create a connection with clients are critical elements for success as an IBM SSR. Excellent English communication skills are crucial, as is the ability to closely follow instructions. Product and soft-skills training is provided through online and classroom education, from colleagues, as well as remote support from IBM and our partners.

The candidate will assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Working hours are 8am to 4:30pm, with the expectation of eventually participating in the weekend and evening on-call rotation with teammates.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in troubleshooting and repair of personal computers, banking equiment (ATM/CRU), printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Knowledge of various operating systems and software.
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
  • Strong time management and organization.
  • Flexible and co-operative spirit when working in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Physically able to lift and carry light to moderate loads, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, etc.
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid drivers license.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A+ certification is an asset.
