System Services Representatives are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and software support and delivery of operational services. Sound pretty important? You will advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may drastically impact product performance or impair the client's IT operation.

Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM seeks to hire a Systems Services Representative, in Tucson, Arizona responsible for on-site installation, maintenance and repair of IBM and multi-vendor systems and components, including hardware, networking products, software and operating systems. They are the primary technical interface to customers for the coordination of hardware and/or software support and delivery of operational services as required by the customer. They advise customers of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may impact product performance or impair customer's IT operation. They may also perform services activities such as systems assurance, installation planning, account management, systems-level problem determination, discontinuance and relocation of IBM and non-IBM systems and products. They are accountable to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with Service delivery, technical support and operational services for the customer account(s). When critical situations occur, they are the IBM technical interface to customers and manage the situation until the problem is fixed. They have a thorough understanding of, and are able to articulate, IBM's technical support strategy. They are responsible for the technical value relationship to protect revenue base and identify new services opportunities.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Ideal candidate will possess hardware and/or software support skill, be committed to Client Success, be a self-motivator who enjoys working in a Team environment, and has the following skills:

• Have experience in Customer Service & Customer Interaction
• Have experience with both IBM and OEM computer equipment
• Can demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and given the appropriate tools follow instructions to perform repairs or replacement of computer equipment using the instructions of a hardware maintenance manual.
• Is Comfortable and demonstrated ability in working with and using various tools (e.g. laptop, screwdriver, pry tool, needle nose pliers, wrench) to complete necessary installation, maintenance, or repair task
• Problem solving skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Candidates with the following skills are preferred, but not required:
• Technical school degree/diploma
• Prior experience in the field of repair of computer or mechanical equipment
