The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems.
Responsible for the remediation of server incidents including timely responses, thorough analysis, and all proper follow-up actions.

What will you do?
Our engineers support enterprise-critical systems that support various social infrastructures in critical positions inside and outside the company.
Work with IBM power system (p8 p9 p10) IBMi OS, infrastructure, and hardware.
The platforms support hybrid cloud and AI, a fascinating area of technology.

You will be responsible for:
• Responding to service restoration calls.
• Overseeing incident queues to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Overseeing of ticket queues and taking ownership of completing the requested work detail.
• Reducing repeating incidents by performing deep analyses of tickets, adjusting thresholds, and/o performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
• Technical infrastructure projects
• Responds to client/stakeholder problems promptly and prioritizes multiple issues based on the severity of the case. Update tickets with clear, concise, and detailed documentation, including all communications regarding work, emails, phone calls, and service attempts
• Determines the need for and is responsible for installing Operating Systems patches including pre and post-level reporting.
Follows documented procedures for installing, maintaining, and administering server hardware and software environments.
• Collaborates with various groups to select appropriate designs, processes, and tests and ensures the compatibility of system components.
• Follows documented procedures for installing, maintaining, and administering server hardware and software environments.• Possess an understanding of server hardware components, network design, components, and computer systems interactions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Admin experience which includes IBMi (AS400) Installation\upgrade\update and support
• Ability to coordinate actions through others and willing to adapt to change.
• Effective Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, attention to detail
• Strive to learn new things and gain experience.
• Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated team player, ready to collaborate with others to get things done.
