Your Role and Responsibilities
The Strategic Business Development Leader will drive IBM's strategic business development mission globally. This position is ideal for a seasoned business development professional with transactional experience, a deep understanding of the technology sector and the ability to drive growth through long-term engagement and creativity in structuring non-traditional business models and partnerships.

You will lead complex, medium- to long-term, strategic transactions end-to-end in partnership with various IBM business units, including by:
• formulating a growth strategy and stakeholder engagement plan for relevant markets;
• originating and creatively structuring potential transactions;
• evaluating transaction rationale and structure;
• building business cases and generating content articulating deal rationale and value internally and externally; and
• driving transactions end to end, leading through to completion.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical or data-intensive undergraduate degree.
At least 10 years' experience in the tech industry with a Consulting Firm; Software, Sales or Data Science role and/or Banking/Finance.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
MBA a strong plus.
Prior experience in Business Development or M&A also a strong plus.
Domain expertise in Public Sector, Energy/Sustainability, Telco and/or FSS preferred.
