As a Spectrum Core Developer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that GPFS / Scale Core storage components are expertly designed, developed with high quality, tested and ready for integration into IBM's best-of-breed solutions. This is your chance to develop innovative new technology as well as grow your career. What you'll do:
Work on market leading gpfs high performance clustered file system
Design and Develop code for core component/features for spectrum scale core
Ensuring end to end quality delivery of the component/feature for Spectrum Scale.
Work closely with customers for requirement implementation as well as responding to customer issues.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Storage/ Filesystems / Storage Systems Software background
- Strong experience of software product development, debug and test using C, C++ - 2 years minimum (5 years preferred)
- Linux kernel debugging - 2 years minimum (5 years preferred)
- File systems, Device driver or similar development experience (preferred)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in Systems/Storage domains, Storage controllers and features like High availability, DR, Replication, Snapshot technologies
- HPC workloads, debugging/performance optimization
- Good debugging skills for complex issues with interdependencies across multiple modules.
