As a client-facing, sales professional, you will be guided by IBM's purpose - to be essential to its clients; help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM's proven hardware, software defined (SDSS) and Hybrid cloud-based storage solutions. IBM Brand Sales Specialists are experts in Brand portfolio offerings and are accountable for creating demand and progressing opportunities to close - from OI through OO. The Brand Sales Specialist (for Select Dedicated accounts) is responsible for driving optimal customer Technology outcomes and achieving strategic objectives for the Brand Sales Specialist's brand. They drive the strategy, sale, and closure of deals for select offerings and use cases. Brand Sales Specialists achieve strategic outcomes for their brand and drive customer Technology outcomes, either working with a Technology Seller or as a leader of their own account team; proactively identify and pursue new opportunities to sell within assigned offering portfolio; maintain contemporary technical skills and offering knowledge; and leverage marketing to drive customer lifetime value (LTV).
As a Brand Sales Specialist you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.

A typical day may involve:
- Client Management & Value Communication: Managing clients and effectively communicating IBM's value.
- Decision Maker Engagement: Identifying decision makers, qualifying opportunities, and establishing partnerships.
- Sales Process Leadership: Overseeing the complete sales process, with a focus on new business.
- Collaborative Ecosystem Engagement: Collaborating with the broader IBM sales ecosystem to develop campaigns and boost pipeline growth.
Your Role and Responsibilities
• You will collaborate closely with clients and business partners to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust, and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems while delivering value to their business.
• You will grow, retain, and fuel new logo revenue opportunities from opportunity identification, to deal progression, close and customer consumption. This will include, collaborating with the broader IBM sales ecosystem, from marketing to sales and technical colleagues and IBM Business Partners, to build sales campaigns and incremental pipeline.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Sales Success: Proven track record of success in storage sales, with emphasis on new client acquisition.
• Business Acumen Application: The ability to apply business and commercial acumen to effectively communicate the operational and financial benefits of technology solutions at all levels.
• Engaging Communication: Effective communication and presentation skills that are compelling, and influential.
• Breadth of knowledge regarding the Storage market to consult and advise, and quickly grow your reputation as your clients' credible, trusted advisor.
• Experience working with IBM Storage Solutions preferred, or Similar Competitive Solutions.
