Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
We are IBM ZOS (Z Operating System, Open Source Linux Tools team, professional working on Z Enterprise Systems and we build the most secure systems for our Banking and Enterprise customers to deploy their mission critical applications. We support open source linux commands on Z operating systems for improved and better user experience. The mission critical applications run on zOS and users familiar with Linux commands require a comaprable experience on z/OS that include the shell utilities and commands. Our IBM z/OS customers heavily rely on this operating system with the linux like shell capabilities making z/OS easy to use platform.

• Architect, Design and Develop solutions to support open-source tools on z/OS
• Investigate innovative solutions in making the POSIX and UNIX95 compliant tools run on z/OS
• Collaborate with world wide experts in delivering enterprise class quality of the open source tools availability on z/OS

• Experience with the Software Development life cycle; coding, unit test, function or component test, system test and
• integration test, working experience in agile methodoligies
• Demonstrated execution experience of Systems project development
• Strong Operating Systems , programming skills in C (Willingness to learn other languages and tools that run on IBM z/OS ) , Unix/Linux system scripting Shell/C compliers.
• Strong Compiling, debugging and troubleshooting
• Ability to learn new tools quickly
• Ability to own a feature end-to-end and deliver
• Good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a global team environment.
• Able to guide a team of lesser experienced professionals

• zOS architecture, System programming
• Familiar with z/OS and z/VM
• Programming languages: JCL, PLX, JCL, Assembly, Rexx, python, java
