Your Role and Responsibilities
The zOS Data Facility Storage Management Subsystem (DFSMS) for IBM Z is seeking
experienced Software Testers (job role includes management and test on systems) that are
highly driven and technically prepared to join a world-class team which develops the most
challenging and complex systems in the world.
We develop, test and support data management on the z/OS operating system. Nearly 100% of
all credit card transactions, 92% of the top 100 global banks, 90% of Fortune 500 companies,
and 80% of the world's corporate data depend on the IBM Z. For a half-century, the mainframe
has transformed how we travel, enabled secure banking, improved how city agencies service
citizens, and dramatically reduced traffic congestion. We develop leading-edge technologies in
managing data, Cloud technologies, system solutions, and hardware enablement that power the
most secure and reliable system on the planet.
- You'll work in a collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test
- innovative applications for automation of test on smaller systems.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Excel at functional testing
- Experience debugging complex environments and software issues.
- Expertise in implementing frameworks and test automation using python.
- Exposure to enterprise server and storage systems.
- Strong communication skills and fluent in English.
- Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:
- Experience using z/OS
- Working knowledge of the Assembly Language and/or PL/X
- Ability to analyze system output from system ABENDs (logs, traces, dumps)
- Strong programming skills in C (Willingness to learn Assembler and IBM high level PLX language ) , PLX, JCL, Assembly, Rexx, Java, Javascript, Unix system scripting Shell/Python.
- QA experience (Functional verification testing)
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a global team environment.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Python, Python Test Automation, Automation Framework (Selenium/Robot/Pytest)
- zOS architecture, System programming
- Familiar with z/OS and z/VM
- Programming languages: MVS JCL, REXX,
- Dump reading using Interactive Problem Control System (IPCS). Ability to interpret logs and dumps
- GIT

- Rational Team Concert (RTC)
- Jenkins, CI/CD Pipeline, Dev Ops
