Your role and responsibilities
As a Release Manager, you will play a key role in the success of the enablement of AI Accelerator on Power by driving products and releases in a timely manner and with high quality.
• You will work on the Product release plan by collaborating with all stakeholders, identifying dependencies, and driving the product towards success in a timely manner and with high quality.
• You will drive meetings, collate and share updates on progress and status, including velocity and any improvements the team can make.
• You are responsible for ensuring dependencies such as hardware resources are planned for and handled in a timely manner with risks appropriately highlighted and mitigated.
• To maintain competitive advantage, release managers must be able to work quickly and produce high-quality status and ensure that they are bridge gaps between various dependencies as well as bring awareness to blockers and concerns.
• Working across teams and other organizations is key, being able to understand high level technical details of the project is essential.

Required technical and professional expertise
• 15+ years of Software industry experience with a track record of experience in program management or project management or release management.
• Experience with implementing agile practices in the project/program management.
• Experience in tools such as Jira, GitHub, Zenhub, knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development tools like Jenkins and Travis.
• Excellent knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes and operations planning.
• Experience Project Managing large scale software projects involving Operating System, Hardware and Software
• Experience project managing large program implementation with ability to create and maintain project plans in collaboration with all stakeholders, drive periodic meetings to meet the project plan and present the report to senior leadership.
• Ability to identify risks in the early stage, bring it to attention and proactively work with internal or dependent teams to resolve the issues.
• Ability to front end the team/program status to senior management and work with teams across worldwide locations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record on increasing the velocity of deliverable
Preferred technical and professional experience
Experience Driving Large Scale Software Releases and Projects as a PMP or PMI Certified Project manager.
