Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Software Developer with strong expertise in backend development, middleware technologies, and database management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of designing, developing, and optimizing robust software architectures that support business needs. This role requires technical proficiency in APIs, microservices, and cloud-based solutions to enhance the organization's technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems and services to support business applications.
- Implement and maintain middleware solutions to enable seamless communication between various software components.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring high performance, data integrity and scalability.
- Develop and integrate APIs, microservices, and interfaces to facilitate interoperability between different systems.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into efficient technical solutions.
- Ensure secure and efficient data exchange between various internal and external applications.
- Contribute to documentation, coding standards, and best practices for backend and middleware development.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and deployment strategies.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues across backend systems, databases, and middleware components.

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, middleware integration, and database management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js for backend development.
- Strong experience with API development, microservices architecture, and RESTful services.
- Expertise in database technologies, including SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
- Experience with middleware platforms and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based services and architectures, particularly IBM Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Tekton.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize backend and middleware components for high performance.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced agile environment.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in event-driven architectures and real-time data processing.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization frameworks such as OAuth2, JWT, and LDAP.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and best practices for distributed systems.
- Experience in writing unit and integration tests using tools such as JUnit, PyTest, or Mocha.
- Understanding of machine learning pipelines and data engineering practices
