The role seeks good levels of personal organisation and the ability to work well within a distributed global team in a fast paced and exciting environment. Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Performance Testing: Plan, design, and execute performance testing strategies using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or RPT.
Monitoring & Analysis: Utilize monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Instana, or NMON to monitor system performance, identify issues, and analyze test results.
Agile Methodology: Work within Agile teams, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Linux & Database Knowledge: Apply basic Linux server knowledge to manage testing environments and execute tests. Utilize basic database knowledge (Oracle, SQL, Db2) for database performance testing and analysis.
Reporting: Prepare detailed performance test reports and provide insights and recommendations to development and management teams.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, DevOps, and operations teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline and to optimize application performance.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in performance testing.
Tools Expertise: Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or RPT.
Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Instana, or NMON.
Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile environment.
Linux & Database Skills: Basic knowledge of Linux servers and databases like Oracle, SQL, or Db2.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex performance data and provide actionable insights. - Programming Languages: Knowledge of Java or Python.
Scripting: Experience with bash or shell scripting.
Containerization: Familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies.Soft Skills: Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.
Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies as needed.
