Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM's Federal Customer Transformation Service Line seeks a ServiceNow Solution Architect with functional expertise and a passion for modernizing government experiences on the ServiceNow Platform. Our ideal candidate has excellent presentation skills, finds creative solutions leveraging the simplest tools, has proven experience with Human-Centered Design principles, follows Agile fundamentals, and has the ability to tactfully challenge the status quo when it comes to the Federal experience. Additionally, this candidate must have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance upon hire.
  • Lead technical implementations of ServiceNow Customer Workflows, including assessing client requirements, designing solutions, and overseeing the implementation project.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their processes and identify areas for improvement, developing solutions that align with their strategic goals.
  • Work closely with our pre-sales team to support sales efforts, build proofs-of-concept and rapid prototypes, and provide technical guidance to clients.
  • Develop and maintain technical assets and accelerators, including leading practices around architecture, design documents, and deployment guides.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in technology advancement in the Federal government, including emerging technologies such as Gen AI, Automation, and Skills Intelligence.
  • Collaborate with other members of the process and experience team to develop innovative offerings that meet client needs and promote business growth.
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise to clients and internal teams, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in application modernization using leading technology.

TS/SCI Clearance

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow and equivalent platforms
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience and proven experience training, mentoring, and building leaders
  • A deep understanding of ServiceNow's platform, modules, and architecture, ServiceNow Developer instance, and applicable tools such as ServiceNow Studio, Visual Studio Code, and ServiceNow PowerShell cmdlets
  • Understanding of the SDLC and agile methodologies, including Agile sprint plans, code reviews, and change management procedures
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Angular JS, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Glide API, server-side scripting, data imports, and data exports, REST API, and OData API
  • Familiarity with tools like Bravium Best Practice Engine, WebStorm, Browsers debuggers, and/or Splunk.
  • Relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
  • ServiceNow Integration Hub, Integration Broker, and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with change management & security approval processes and security regulations such as NIST standard SP 800.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proven experience in Federal government consulting engagements
  • At least two active ServiceNow certifications
  • SAFe® or Agile-related certifications
