Senior Software Architect

This position involves contributing to HashiCorp's offerings, now part of IBM, which empower organizations to automate and secure multi-cloud and hybrid environments. You will join a team managing the lifecycle of infrastructure and security, enhancing IBM's cloud solutions to ensure enterprises achieve efficiency, security, and scalability in their cloud journey.

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will

• Design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and high-performance systems for hybrid cloud environments that meet world-class standards.

• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design and build systems that solve complex business problems and deliver exceptional user experiences.

• Use modern architectural principles and best of the class tools and technologies

• Lead Technical Initiatives that aligns with business goals and objectives.

• Mentor, Coach and provide technical leadership

• Work in an agile, collaborative, distributed, fast paced and exciting environment.

• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive business value, solve complex problems, and innovate solutions that meet evolving needs.

• Champion an entrepreneurial mindset and deliver unique value by leveraging industry and technology expertise to drive innovative strategies to accelerate clients' success.

Required technical and professional expertise

15+ years of relevant experience as Senior Solution Architect,Having worked on Cloud Architecture, Hands-on knowledge of IaC technologies, Automation Products and able lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions.

This role requires a deep technical understanding as well as the ability to align technology with business objectives. The Sr. Solution Architect will work closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure solutions meet both technical and strategic goals.

Knowledge of Cloud/ SaaS architecture using AWS/GCP/ IBM Cloud/Azure

Good knowledge / Proficient in of Cloud architecture such as Containers, Kubernetes, Openshift and Devops Methodology

Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)

Good Knowledge of IBM Technologies such as Integration Products, Java Runtimes

Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache).

API Integration: Experience consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

Version Control: Proficiency with Git and GitHub/GitLab.

Hands on Experience/Expertise infrastructure provisioning and automation tools (e.g. Terraform/CloudFormation, Ansible etc)

Hands on Experience /Expertise with Agile development methodologies

Hands on Experience/Expertise with CI/CD tools like Jenkins , Travis

Hands on Experience/Expertise developing infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, Chef

To be successful, you will need:

• Define and implement architectural patterns, frameworks, and best practices to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption where applicable.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to validate technology choices.

• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.

• Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to software engineers and other technical team members

• Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple team

• Agile development experience

Understanding of end-to-end cloud architectures for AI applications, ensuring integration with existing systems.
