Introduction

We are seeking a Network Reliability Engineer (NRE) to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a Network Operations Engineer with expertise in network automation and a passion for optimizing and modernizing network environments. As an NRE, you will work with data centers, enterprise networks, security platforms (firewalls), and load balancers, leveraging automation tools to streamline operations, improve network visibility, and proactively mitigate risks. You will be responsible for incident response, change implementations and projects collaborating closely with engineering and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve incidents impacting network availability and performance.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions using Ansible, Python, or other scripting tools to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Execute network changes, software upgrades, and hardware replacements in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Maintain and optimize networking infrastructure across data centers, enterprise campuses, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Utilize monitoring and capacity management tools to analyze trends and optimize network performance.
  • Support security policies, firewall rule management, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support network migrations, expansions, and upgrades.
  • Manage ISPs and external vendors for troubleshooting, capacity upgrades, and maintenance coordination.
  • Create playbooks, runbooks, and automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering, operations, or reliability engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with network troubleshooting, incident handling, and change implementation.
  • Experience in network automation using Ansible, Python, or equivalent scripting languages.
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools for network health and performance management.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management
  • Ability to work in a high-availability, mission-critical environment and respond to incidents promptly.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and vendors.
  • Proven technical network knowledge on CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSE Level or higher to support vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto and F5.
  • Experience with SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and Network Orchestration.

  • Willingness to work US hours to support global operations (14:00 - 22:00)

Availability for on-call support during weekends as part of a rotational schedule.
