Senior Network Engineer, IBM Corporation, Durham, NC: Communicate and articulate project status and risks based on the requirements and technology needs. Maintain AI network infrastructure securely according to corporate standards. Monitor security advisories and apply updates on an enterprise scale. Maintain secure configuration baseline for different of switches and firewalls. Install and connect infrastructures, automate install updates on distributed and dynamic switches, verify results and automate firewall rule change based on receipt of event. Research solution and create and perform POC (proof concept). Determine methods and work with external teams to implement solutions to monitor bandwidth. Design, develop, and implement Datacenter Networking service environments by working on different vendor platform types like Cisco, Palo Alto's, Netgear. Contribute to strategy sessions, which develop into roadmaps, architectures, and High-level design for Cross site DevIT deployments for Networking and Security protocols. Utilize: Datacenter Networking Service, Domain Name Resolution (DNS), Network Open-Source automation tools (Python, Bash, API), Linux. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field (employer will accept a bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a System Engineer, Engineer or related.
