Introduction

We are seeking a strategic storyteller to drive clarity and consistency in how we communicate our platform and product value across the software business. This role will transform how we articulate our solutions internally to enable everyone at IBM to become a confident software advocate.

As senior Cross-Software Product Marketing, you will lead the coordination and activation of our software Marketing & Communications (M&C) mission. You'll act as a force multiplier to ensure Software presents a compelling value prop and its mission is easily understood - from Marketing, Communications & CSR (MCC) to software product to sales globally.

  • Navigate and thrive in a setting that has a complex set of senior stakeholders, where a strong POV and a sense of urgency are required.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead from the front with ability to influence and align stakeholders across functions.
  • Partner with software M&C leadership to drive organizational change through clear communication.
  • Build strong feedback loops to continuously improve how we communicate about our products internally.

Internal Communications Excellence

  • Design and implement communication strategies that drive consistent understanding of our platforms across all internal audiences.
  • Create scalable templates and frameworks that make it easy for teams to align their communications with core product narratives.
  • Develop internal enablement programs that help extended MCC, software and sales teams to internalize and effectively communicate our product value propositions.
  • Measure and optimize the effectiveness of internal product communications through regular feedback and metrics.
  • Build and foster the culture of software M&C with creative ideas and engagement.

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• Around 5 years of experience in marketing or product marketing in the software industry.

• Strong understanding of software development processes, user experience principles, and technology trends.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable marketing strategies.

• Proven track record in driving product adoption through marketing initiatives.

• Experience with market analysis, competitive intelligence, and product positioning.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development lifecycles.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, Engineering, or related technical field; MBA is a plus.
  • Success in fast growth enterprise and SaaS solutions serving a worldwide customer base.
  • Strong track record of developing internal enablement programs that drive consistent product messaging.
  • Excellence in translating technical capabilities into business value propositions.
  • Curiosity and point of view on enterprise software/platforms and how different internal teams need to communicate about them.

For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
