In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Leads an agile project team delivering a solution to the client as per terms and conditions for the project according to the SOW/ contrac. Responsible for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables. Leads project through project management techniques and approach like garage method for cloud, design thinking, agile delivery model, continuous modernization. Leads modernization delivery team and interfaces with Client PM and other stakeholders.

Should have experience in these areas - continuous modernization, co-existence architecture, refactor, containerization, APIs, Microservices creation, language conversion, Database conversion. The practitioner should have experience in project delivery on at least one of these cloud platforms - IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, RedHat OpenShift, Google.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

1. Visionary: The Product Owner represents the voice of the customer and is responsible for defining and prioritizing the work to be done by the development team. They should have a clear vision for the product and communicate it effectively.

2. Stakeholder Management: They manage relationships with stakeholders, including customers, users, executives, and other teams. It's their job to understand their needs and expectations, and balance them appropriately.

3. Product Backlog Management: The Product Owner maintains the product backlog, which is essentially a prioritized list of features or requirements for the product. This includes adding, removing, and refining items as necessary.

4. Clarification and Prioritization: They ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of what needs to be built by clarifying requirements and prioritizing tasks.

5. Acceptance Criteria Definition: Each item in the product backlog should have clear acceptance criteria, which the Product Owner is responsible for defining. These criteria determine when work on an item can be considered complete.

6. Maximizing Value: The primary responsibility of the Product Owner is to maximize the value of the product resulting from the work of the development team. This involves making strategic decisions about what features to build and when.

7. Collaboration: They collaborate closely with the development team during sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings to ensure everyone is aligned and working towards the same goals.

8. Decision Making: In cases where consensus cannot be reached, the Product Owner has the final say-so on product-related issues.

9. Continuous Learning: They stay updated on market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to continuously improve the product.
