Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation.
You'll collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client.
Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Scalable Cloud Application Development: Work with customers to help build applications at scale in the Cloud that meet business requirements.
  • Seamless Collaboration for Migration Solutions: Collaborate with the migration team in the analysis, design and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Strategic Analysis and POC for Seamless Migration: Conduct analysis and proof of concepts for new solutions while working collaboratively through any issues that arise during the migration.
  • Strategic Analysis for Modernized IT Solutions: Analyze and translate IT requirements using modernization frameworks into components of a modernized solution.
  • Agile Development and Testing in Cloud Environments: Develop and test applications in cloud environments and be part of Delivery/Engagement teams.
  • Optimization and Enhancement of Modernization Assets: Reuse and enhance Digital modernization assets, methods, and collateral.
  • Collaborative Design and Deployment of Cloud Infrastructure: Collaborate in the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions and services for our customer's needs.
  • Lead architecture efforts in complex environments, such as public administration and healthcare sectors.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3+ years of experience as an Application Architect with a focus on cloud solutions (Azure Architecture or RedHat Architecture or AWS Architecture), including experience in agile methodologies (Scrum or SAFe certified).
  • Expertise in SDLC including the use of DevOps toolchains.
  • Experience with Java, Python, and development tools such as IntelliJ, GitHub, Jenkins, Cypress, Terraform.
  • Knowledge of frameworks/technologies such as Spring Framework, REST, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Angular/ReactJs.
  • 5+ years as a SW Development Engineer, ideally in consulting environment
  • Completed studies in business informatics or IT (university, FH, or equivalent).
  • Fluent German and English - written & spoken (at least C1 level)
  • Swiss nationality or valid Swiss work permit / EU passport

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in public administration or healthcare projects.
  • Strong initiative, quick comprehension, and a service- and results-oriented approach.
