A Security Consultant (Endpoint Security Engineer) is a cybersecurity professional responsible for safeguarding an organization's computer systems and networks against cyber threats. They play a critical role in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information by implementing and managing robust endpoint security solutions. This role ensures that security incidents are detected, prevented, and swiftly responded to, maintaining the organization's overall cybersecurity posture.

Endpoint Security Management
- Design, implement, and manage endpoint security solutions, including antivirus software, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Monitor network and endpoint security systems to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents.
- Ensure endpoint security systems are properly configured and maintained according to security best practices and industry standards.
Incident Response and Security Assessments
- Respond to security incidents and participate in incident response and recovery efforts as needed.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks and weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures for end-users, covering password management, email security, and portable device usage.
- Collaborate with network and systems administrators to integrate endpoint security solutions within the organization's overall security framework.
Security Excellence & Best Practices
- Research and evaluate emerging security technologies and provide recommendations for enhancements.
- Stay updated on evolving security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques to maintain technical excellence in endpoint security.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Experience with endpoint security tools such as CrowdStrike and Trend Micro or similar solutions.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and endpoint hardware configurations.
- Knowledge of threat detection, incident response, and remediation processes.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools like CrowdStrike and Trend Micro.
