Your role and responsibilities

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Lead Consultant

Preferred Hiring Location : Joondalup, Perth

This role requires deep expertise in SAP Payroll solutions, including configuration, integration, and compliance with global payroll regulations.

The ideal candidate will lead project teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure seamless end-to-end payroll implementation projects delivery.

  • Project Leadership & Implementation: Lead end-to-end SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) implementation projects, including requirement gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll implementation strategy, execution, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR, finance, and IT teams to ensure alignment with payroll and compliance needs.
  • Oversee the design and configuration of payroll schemas, rules, wage types, and taxation settings.
  • Technical & Functional Expertise: Provide expert-level guidance on SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and SAP Payroll Control Center (PCC).
  • Lead the integration of ECP with Employee Central (EC) and third-party systems using Business Integration Builder (BIB) and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
  • Ensure payroll compliance with country-specific tax laws, reporting, and statutory regulations.
  • Manage payroll data migration, validation, and parallel payroll testing.
  • Oversee system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and payroll reconciliation.
  • Stakeholder & Team Management: Provide leadership to SAP SuccessFactors ECP project teams, guiding consultants and junior team members.
  • Work with business leaders to define payroll best practices and optimize payroll operations.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for HR, payroll teams, and end-users.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Experience: Minimum 13+ years of experience in SAP Payroll, with at least 3 full-cycle implementations of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
  • Payroll Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP Payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, taxation, and payroll compliance.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Integration Knowledge: Hands-on experience with BIB (Business Integration Builder), SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration), and third-party system integrations.
    • Technical Skills: Familiarity with SAP Payroll Control Center (PCC), ABAP debugging (preferred but not mandatory).
    • Global Payroll: Experience implementing payroll for multiple countries, understanding regional payroll regulations.
    • Leadership: Strong team management, stakeholder communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions within timelines.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Team-oriented and capable of working effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) certification.
  • Experience with multi-country payroll implementations.
  • Exposure to SAP Time Management and other HR modules.
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors Upgrade Center and system release management.
