Your Role and Responsibilities
Our client is one of the world's leading mechanical and plant engineering firms with extensive expertise in automation, digitalization and energy efficiency. In preparation for the S/4 Hana migration, one of the client strategical objectives for 2024 and 2025 is to outsource the SAP support functions to one managed service provider: SAP Application Management Support (AMS-2nd Level inkl. customizing), SAP Basis, SAP Solman and SAP Authorization. Knowledge to be taken over in a 4-month transition.
- Coordination and implementation of support packages (ABAP/ JAVA)
- Implementation of the basic configuration in the transaction SOLMAN_SETUP ("System Preparation", "Basic Configuration" and "Infrastructure Preparation")
- Afterwork support packages installation (SolMan configuration, upgrade)
- Cleaning up the System Management Landscape
- Checking and eliminating errors in EarlyWatch Alert reports (via SAP ME)
- Perform self-service session on the Solution Manager, e.g.
- SAP-Going-Live-Check (SELF_GV)
- SAP Technical Performance Optimization (SELF_SL-L)
- SAP Early Watch Health Check (EW_SELF)
- Implementation of SLD content upgrade
- Afterwork support packages for JAVA
- Upgrade SMD agents
- Maintenance planner
- Installation of additional database client library
- Updating the technical monitoring contents
