Your Role and Responsibilities
Our client is one of the world's leading mechanical and plant engineering firms with extensive expertise in automation, digitalization and energy efficiency. In preparation for the S/4 Hana migration, one of the client strategical objectives for 2024 and 2025 is to outsource the SAP support functions to one managed service provider: SAP Application Management Support (AMS-2nd Level inkl. customizing), SAP Basis, SAP Solman and SAP Authorization. Knowledge to be taken over in a 4-month transition.
  • Coordination and implementation of support packages (ABAP/ JAVA)
  • Implementation of the basic configuration in the transaction SOLMAN_SETUP ("System Preparation", "Basic Configuration" and "Infrastructure Preparation")
  • Afterwork support packages installation (SolMan configuration, upgrade)
  • Cleaning up the System Management Landscape
  • Checking and eliminating errors in EarlyWatch Alert reports (via SAP ME)
  • Perform self-service session on the Solution Manager, e.g.
    • SAP-Going-Live-Check (SELF_GV)
    • SAP Technical Performance Optimization (SELF_SL-L)
    • SAP Early Watch Health Check (EW_SELF)
Optional/ project support:
  • Implementation of SLD content upgrade
  • Afterwork support packages for JAVA
  • Upgrade SMD agents
  • Maintenance planner
  • Installation of additional database client library
  • Updating the technical monitoring contents

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Focused Build (Enhance and Innovate Pace) for Release and Deployment
  • Early Watch and SAP 4 ME for Monitoring/ Alerting
  • NET Weaver, Cloud ALM, ITIL Foundation
  • Good communication and collaboration, client facing, proactive, self-starter

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • German B2/C1
  • Previous transition experience
  • Conigma for Change Management
  • SAP Basis administration and support relevant experience for SAP ECC. Error analysis, correction, restart, patches, upgrade, setup of jobs, parameterization, installation of support packages, implementation of feature packages
  • SAP Authorization/ Security experience
