Your role and responsibilities
* Execute benchmarking tools to validate SAP HANA performance on PowerVS.
* Analyze benchmark results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide optimization recommendations.
* Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, Python, or Shell scripting to streamline benchmarking processes.
* Work closely with SAP and IBM Power teams to ensure compliance with SAP certification standards.
* Contribute to performance tuning and optimization of SAP HANA on PowerVM.
* Create detailed reports documenting test results, system configurations, and findings.
* Troubleshoot system-level issues related to PowerVM, virtualization, and SAP HANA workloads.
* Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams to enhance benchmarking strategies.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- • Engineering Graduate (Computer Engg/Information Science) with 10-15 years of experience
- • Test Engineer with sound knowledge of operating systems with administration (Unix/AIX) skills, System test skills, PowerVM functionalities, Kernel Concepts/Internals
- • Strong leadership skills: Should be experienced in test planning and design, lead a team towards deliverables.
- • Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure ( IBM Cloud, PowerVS... )
- • Very good programming skills (Shell scripting, Python, C, Ansible etc.,)
- • Excellent debugging & problem-solving skills
- • Good knowledge on network, storage, and interfaces
- • Good communication skills
- • Proven ability to work effectively in a global team environment
- • Self-Learning and collaborating with team effectively
- • Understand the functioning of an integrated system across the SW and HW stack and various interfaces and interactions.
- • Keen eye for quality and ensure the product is thoroughly tested using innovative scenarios to exercise the system and yet adhere to business timelines
- • Added advantage: Knowledge of SAP products like S/4HANA, SAP HANA.
