Your Role and Responsibilities
Our client is one of the world's leading mechanical and plant engineering firms with extensive expertise in automation, digitalization and energy efficiency. In preparation for the S/4 Hana migration, one of the client strategical objectives for 2024 and 2025 is to outsource the SAP support functions to one managed service provider: SAP Application Management Support (AMS-2nd Level inkl. customizing), SAP Basis, SAP Solman and SAP Authorization. Knowledge to be taken over in a 4-month transition.
- Error analysis and troubleshooting for SAP system and DB
- Coordination of patches and upgrades
- Installation of support packages
- Proactive monitoring, analysis and optimization of performance
- Scheduling of jobs
- Transport management (Error analysis, correction, import and transport)
- Printer management (Monitoring, configuration, changing, deleting)
- Archiving (Implementation, troubleshooting, configuration, error handling)
- Monitoring of interfaces
- Setting up and maintaining content servers (Server setup, support and maintenance (IM, RM, CM), SSL certificates)
- Coordination of a system copy
- New Installation
- Extend monitoring
- Extension of system environment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- SAP Basis administration and support relevant experience for SAP ECC 6.0.; Error analysis, correction, restart, patches, upgrade, setup of jobs, parameterization, installation of support packages, implementation of feature packages
- Database management and tuning (HANA, DB2, Sybase). Error analysis, troubleshooting, restart, patches, upgrade, configuration, monitoring
- Stonebranch (or any other) for Job scheduling; Conigma (or any other) for Change Management
- Develop (or any other) for Archiving; SAST Suite (or any other) for Security
- Snote, IDOC, SAP BTP; ITIL Foundation
- Good communication and collaboration, client facing, proactive, self-starter
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- German B2/C1
- Previous transition experience
- SAP Solution Manager administration and support experience
- SAP Authorization/ Security experience
