Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting the SAP PPDS module, ensuring optimal production planning and scheduling processes within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, SAP PPDS configuration, and integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities:
Implementation & Configuration:
  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of the SAP PPDS module.
  • Customize SAP PPDS to meet the specific needs of the business, including master data setup, production planning, and detailed scheduling.
  • Integrate SAP PPDS with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP APO) to ensure seamless operations.
Business Process Analysis:
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand production planning and scheduling requirements.
  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement using SAP PPDS.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system design.
System Support & Maintenance:
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the SAP PPDS module.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production planning and scheduling.
  • Conduct regular system health checks and implement necessary updates.
Training & Documentation:
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and key stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage and communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in SAP PPDS and related technologies.
  • Recommend and implement best practices to enhance production planning and scheduling processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP PPDS implementation and support.
    • In-depth knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes.
    • Proven experience in configuring and customizing SAP PPDS solutions.
    • Experience in integrating SAP PPDS with other SAP modules.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of SAP PPDS architecture and functionality.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • SAP certification in PPDS is highly desirable.
