Your role and responsibilities

As a Brand Sales Specialist, you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust, and show them how IBM's industry-leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business. We're committed to success. In this role, your achievements will drive your career, team, and clients to thrive. A typical day may involve: Client Management & Value Communication: Managing clients and effectively communicating IBM's value. Decision Maker Engagement: Identifying decision makers, qualifying opportunities, and establishing partnerships. Sales Process Leadership: Overseeing the complete sales process, focusing on new business. Collaborative Ecosystem Engagement: Collaborating with the broader IBM sales ecosystem to develop campaigns and boost pipeline growth.

Required technical and professional expertise

Storage Market Expertise:
* Storage market knowledge to be a trusted client advisor (training on IBM's Storage offerings is provided)
* A successful track record in Storage sales, particularly in new client acquisition.
* Business Acumen Application: Demonstrated business acumen in explaining tech's operational and financial impact.
* Influential Communication: Communication and presentation skills have a strong influence.
* Ability to create and articulate compelling value propositions.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • 3 years of experience as a sales professional in Storage and a proven history of success
  • Experience in successfully introducing new technology to the marketplace and replacing incumbent vendors
  • Experience with account planning, deal strategy, relationship management, and negotiations.
