As an Quantum Research Scientist with IBM Quantum, your job will be to learn and advance the field of quantum computing research. Areas of research include superconducting qubits, quantum control, quantum error correction, quantum complexity theory, quantum algorithms, quantum machine learning, and quantum compilers and optimizers.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Strong programming skills Java/Python/C++, data structures, algorithms, problem solving, Quantum Programming (Qiskit/Cirq/Forest), Linear Algebra
- Strong foundation in quantum communication, quantum computing, quantum sensing, and/or quantum information science (QIS).
- Experience in implementing bigger and complex utility scale quantum workloads on IBM QPUs.
- Strong background in Quantum Applications for different use cases.
- Excellent teamwork abilities, particularly in interdisciplinary settings within a dynamic, multi-tasking environment.
