Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in theoretical and applied aspects of post-quantum cryptography, with a special focus on lattice-based advanced cryptographic constructs.
  • Contribute towards IBM business, products, and relevant consulting efforts in the security space.
  • Engage in collaborations and strategic partnerships with Indian academic institutions as part of IBM's University Relations program.

Skills required

  • Strong background in cryptography, discrete mathematics, probability analysis, linear algebra, and computational number theory.
  • Expertise in quantum-safe cryptography, especially lattice-based cryptography
  • Strong ability to read, understand and design cryptographic algorithms and proofs.
  • Reasonable coding skills and experience in benchmarking cryptographic algorithms.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Excellent foundational knowledge in cryptography (public-key cryptography, advanced forms of encryption and digital signatures).
  • Technical expertise in lattice-based cryptography and associated proof systems; familiarity with the NIST PQC standards.
  • Strong mathematical foundation, with expertise in discrete mathematics, probability analysis, linear algebra, and computational number theory.
  • Strong publication record in top-tier forums for cryptography and security.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Background knowledge in privacy-enhanching technologies such as zero-knowledge proof systems.
  • Hands-on experience in coding and benchmarking cryptographic algorithms.
