Your Role and Responsibilities
This is for a 2025 summer internship with the following start dates: May - August or June - September for quarter system schools.
As a Data Scientist in IBM Quantum, you will help transform our clients' data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating insights and collaborating with key stakeholders. You will interface across several teams within IBM, including client-facing teams, technical teams, as well as product, marketing, and business development teams. You will work with stakeholders across the board to enable them with actionable insights from data.

Successful attributes to thrive in this role are
- Collaborate with teams to construct usable data sets from various structured and unstructured sources, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and maintain Python and SQL scripting solutions to automate data collection, processing, and analysis tasks, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Apply predictive/prescriptive modeling techniques to derive insights from data.
- Work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts and solutions clearly."
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Masters or PhD candidate in quantum information, physics, computer science or mathematics
- Experience with programming/scripting in languages such as Python and SQL
- Experience with Git/GitHub.
- Familiar with Linux OS.
